Board Highlight: David Branscome

David Branscome was appointed to the VRA Board of Directors by Governor Youngkin effective July 1, 2022. Previously appointed by Governors McDonnell and McAuliffe, he served two prior terms on the VRA Board. David chairs the Budget & Investment Committee and serves on the Audit Committee.
David is Vice President of Julius Branscome Inc./Branscome Paving Co. in Manassas and is a second-generation contractor working with the family business started in 1963.
David has spent his entire career in the construction and transportation fields. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Old Dominion Highway Contractors Association and the Virginia Asphalt Association and has served as President for both associations. He has also served as a member of the Heavy Construction Contractors Association.
A Virginia native, David resides in Prince William County. He is married with two children and works with his son and son-in-law, both of whom are active in the family business. David is a dedicated family man, and you will often hear him speak of his annual Disney World family vacations. A member of Kinloch Golf Club in Manakin-Sabot, he enjoys to golf in his spare time and is a member of Park Valley Church.
